Presentation on Terrorism Awareness

Ron Lenard is an Investigator with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). In this role, Mr. Lenard manages a team of professionals providing all aspects of information sharing, including international terrorism, domestic terrorism, and critical infrastructure protection. Mr. Lenard is no stranger to the law enforcement community; he has spent 28 years in various positions, including street officer, criminal investigator, and criminal intelligence officer. Concurrently with his law enforcement career, Mr. Lenard served in the United States Army in an airborne long range surveillance unit, solidifying his intelligence capabilities from a tactical standpoint. Since September 11, 2001 Mr. Lenard has drawn on his extensive law enforcement experience to work intelligence operations related to counterterrorism and terrorism prevention from a federal perspective, mainly at the FBI, where he was awarded the 2004 Directors Award for excellence in law enforcement. Along with his local and federal experience, Mr. Lenard also brings to his current assignment a level of management derived from his undergraduate degree of Business, with an emphasis on organizational leadership.
